It’s almost that time of year again; when rivalries start brewing and Sunday afternoons are locked up for the next 20 weeks.
Football season is almost here.
Along with the most wonderful season of the year comes some great traditions. One tradition we are following fairly regularly is heading out to Oxnard for the Dallas Cowboys Training Camp. It is a great way to see the greatest athletes in the world up close and personal for a fairly low price tag.
The girls had been looking forward to it too. They liked dressing up in Cowboys attire and even Haley remembered that we would see Romo play football. They brought their friends with them as well.
Everyone was donning the silver and blue.
AQ was sporting his jersey and came with us for the Training Camp.
Migs had one of Haley’s old Cowboys shirts on to show her support.
What a great sight for a father to see.
The girls had fun with all the activities they had for kids. There were Cowboys-themed bounce houses to further indoctrinate the young and impressionable.
Wendy made sure that all the details were taken care of.
Then it was time to get serious and concentrate on football. Liana and Wendy got their game faces on.
Haley did a quick roster check to make sure Romo was in the line up.
The buckets were ready.
Coach was watching over us.
Equipment check in the locker room (replicas)
A quick photo opportunity.
Then we headed to the field for the real action.
Liana sees all the Cowboys.
The newest member of the Dallas Cowboys, Travis Fredrick. Proof that people with Computer Science degrees can be hardcore.
Dez is already looking like he is in mid-season form.
All the action took place pretty close to us. A deep ball near the sidelines where a receiver ran out of bounds caused the girls to jump off of the fence so the receiver could run by without banging their heads.
The whole gang is here.
The Cowboys left us confident in the success that we (the Dallas Cowboys) will be having this year. I’m not sure about you, but we’ve already got our tickets to <fill in name of Super Bowl city>.
